RCMP Unit Identifiers (ANNN):
- Alpha-General Duty
- Bravo-Municipal Duty
- Charlie-Traffic Services
- Delta-Plainclothes
- Echo-Admin/Ops Support (PDU, IDENT, Radio Techs, K9, etc..)
- Foxtrot-Admin
- Mike-Municipal Police Service being dispatched by RCMP eg. File Hills
- Tango-Trunked Radio System Technicians
Examples:
- A450-General Duty Car 450
- B231-Municipal Duty Car 231
- C420-Traffic Services Car 420
- D76-Plainclothes Unit 76
- E311-Support/Special Section Car 311
- F20- Admin Unit 20
- M41-X Police Service Car 41

Portable Identifiers (AANN):
- Alpha Victor 01-Avonlea Portable 1
- Romeo Echo 17-Regina Portable 17
- Whiskey Echo 03-Weyburn Portable 3
The first two letters of the portable identifier represent the detachment to which they belong. The numbers after the letters represent which portable from that detachment is being used.
RCMP Aircraft Identifiers:
- Mike Papa Echo: MPE
- Mike Papa Whiskey: MPW
The RCMP in Saskatchewan has two operational aircraft, MPW is heard on the Pelican and Stony talkgroups quite often. MPE is heard occasionally going 10-36 and 10-35, as well as providing location updates to Control.
