Story County (IA)
From The RadioReference Wiki
Most public safety radio traffic in Story County is carried out on the SARA Network. There are three dispatch centers, one each in the City of Ames for city police (encrypted) and fire, one at the Iowa State University Armory for ISU Police and parking dispatch, and one in Nevada for Story County Sheriff, Nevada Police (radio IDs 600-619), Story City Police (radio IDs 620-639), Huxley Police (radio IDs 640-659), and the rural fire departments. No traffic has been confirmed on ISICS.
The callsigns for the rural fire departments follow a structure of ABXY, where AB would be either the responder's callsign (11xy, 19xy) or the apparatus' number (Engine 1xy). The XY would be the department number. For example, Huxley Fire's engine would be callsign 106 and a Slater firefighter might be 1412.
Ambulance service is split by Mary Greeley EMS, based at Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames (Ambulance 721-727), and Story County Hospital (Ambulance 728 & 729), who staffs an ambulance (maybe 2?) in Nevada and one in Story City. Huxley First Responders also operates a part-time ambulance (Ambulance 731).
