Wisconsin Public Safety Network (WiPSN)

From The RadioReference Wiki

The radio system formerly known as OASIS. This is not to be confused with the Wisconsin Interoperable System for Communications (WISCOM), which is the State of Wisconsin's actual statewide interoperable radio system. This radio system started as the OASIS system for Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties. Motorola Solutions, Inc (MSI) somehow convinced both counties to relinquish their on site cores for a remote, off-site core maintained by MSI in northern Illinois.

April 2024: During the week of April 22nd, 2024, OASIS will take a major step toward enhanced interoperability and reliability as the charter members of the Wisconsin Public Safety Network (WiPSN), an initiative using a hosted remote core that will allow radio users throughout Wisconsin to join a common interoperable network. Motorola Solutions, Inc. will manage the WiPSN common core.
