The Bell County EDACS radio system will be retired September 2022 after years of updates to APCO P25 systems. Several years ago, all the agencies in Bell County had their equipment updated to support narrow-banding. Now with users exchanging field radios and other tedious work, the final date to retire it's 800 MHz EDACS system will be replaced by a Harris Communication P25 system operating in 700/800 MHz.
