This system is owned and operated by the State of Kansas to provide communication services for the University of Kansas. It is also used by The City of Lawrence and Douglas County under a shared site agreement similar to the one used in Topeka / Shawnee County.
Douglas County Sheriff and Lawrence Police share a common dispatch on Talkgroup 19216 This talkgroup is linked to three conventional repeaters to improve coverage througout the county:
