Lawrence County Emergency Communications Center (LCED 911)
- News Article on new 911 center 3/10/23
- $5.9 million consolidated 911 center in Mt Vernon, 8250 sq.ft. with 6 dispatching stations. 300ft self-supporting communications tower.
- Will also be home to the new Lawrence County Sheriff's office, jail, and LCSO Health Dept. Should be completed late 2023
When operational, the Lawrence County 911 Emergency Communications Center will dispatch the following emergency services:
- Law Enforcement — Lawrence County Sheriff's Office and Aurora, Marionville, Miller, Monett, Mt. Vernon, Pierce City, and Verona Police Departments.
- Fire — Aurora, Freistatt, Halltown, Marionville, Miller, Monett, Mount Vernon, Pierce City, and Stotts City Fire Departments; Aurora, Miller, and Monett Rural Fire Departments; and Miller Rescue
- Medical — Barry-Lawrence Ambulance District (Primary PSAP Barry County) and Mercy Ambulance District (Primary PSAP Mercy Dispatch)
- Will handle 911 calls for all of Lawrence County, including Aurora, Freistatt, Halltown, Marionville, Miller, Mount Vernon, Pierce City, Verona, Stotts City, and the northern portion of Monett.
