Public Safety Communications
Montgomery County and the City of Dayton transitioned to the statewide Ohio MARCS-IP system in October 2016. In August 2009, Montgomery County opened the Regional Dispatch Center located at the site of the former Mound Laboratories in Miamisburg, which is operated by the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. The Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center provides dispatching for most of the county and the City of Dayton. Many of the various community departments still use their conventional VHF frequencies.
