Future Plans

Allen County officials have committed to an upgrade of ACPS in the near future.

Band Plan

Despite being a digital system, ACPS still requires that scanner operators manually enter the bandplan as detailed on Software Support for Uniden Rebanding.

Unit Numbering

Information pertaining to specific agencies has been moved to the Allen County (IN) page. Unit numbering information will likely also be transitioned pending comments from the community.

ACPD

ACPD officers use their three digit badge numbers as their unit identifiers on the air unless they are a part of the command staff, in which case they use identifiers in the form of "AC1", "AC2", etc. Occasionally, a unit will identify itself by its car number. When a confinement officer is performing a transport, they may be heard on the air using a unit prefix of "C" (though this is unconfirmed, it is likely). When multiple units are on duty in a single commission, one unit nominates itself as the sole contact for the commission (synonymous with "vehicle") for the shift.

FWPD

FWPD units are designated with an alpha prefix that denotes what sector that that unit is assigned to and then a three digit number, possibly corresponding to a badge number. When addressed, the phonetic for the sector prefix is used (e.g. "BAKER ONE-THIRTEEN").
