Code 4 situation under control
Code 5 Usually means a sting operation or surveillance taking place so marked cars stay out of area
Code 6 Requesting backup
Code 7 Break (Lima = Lunch, Charlie = coffee break)
Code 8 Wants (whiskey = Warrant, Delta = Driving related)
Code 9 Hold all non emergency radio traffic (with or without a beeper tone)
Code 0 All available units respond code 3. Usually only broadcast in a shots fired or officer down situation
