This page documents how different cities, agencies, and departments across the country are using communications systems to handle the Occupy Wall Street protests across the world.

Minneapolis

New York City

New York City Police Department (NYPD)

The NYPD is primarily handling protest operations on the following channels:

  • Citywide 1
  • Citywide 2


All tactical operation are on CW 1 and CW 2. Traffic Control is on CW 3. Anyone who calls 911 with a protest related incident will be routed to the appropriate zone dispatcher. If EMS or FD are needed it will be requested over CW 1 or 2 if its a detail unit requesting. If it a PCT unit requesting it will go thru the zone dispatcher as normal. EMS and FD will be dispatched via their normal dispatch area frequencies.
