1 - Engine (Pumper)

2 - Mini Pumpers

3 - Rescue/Extrication

4 - Van/Utility/Storage

5 - Truck (Ladder/Aerial Apparatus)

6 - Scuba (Vehicle/Boat)

7 - Special Apparatus (Foam/Haz Mat/Auxilary)

8 - Tanker

9 - Brush/Field Unit


All apparatus are identified by four numbers. The first two numbers are the fire station

number. The second number is assigned by the individual fire department. The third number is

the apparatus type, taken from the list above.

Example: Station 24 - Herbertsville Fire Company (Brick Twp.)

Engine 2431

24 is the station number

3 is the number assigned to the engine by the fire company

1 is the apparatus type taken from the list above (Engine)

9 - Crash Trucks
