===Prince William County Fire Department Unit Designation===

Prince William County Police Unit Numbers
+
Prince William County uses the Metro Washington Council of Governments (MWCOG or COG) unit numbering system.
 +
Units are designated by unit type followed by COG number then station number, ex: E-508 would be E=Engine 5=PWC COG number and 08=Staition number. If a station has multiple units of the same type you will see an additional letter at the end, ex: E-518A and E-518B would be Engine 518-Alpha and Engine 518 Bravo. In some cases the the unit type can be 2 letters, ex: FE-501 or TW-525 would be Foam Engine 501 and Tower 525.
