Begins at the US-Candian Border as a continuance of CA 4 in Alberta. Ports of Entry are Coutts on the Canada side and Sweetgrass on the US Side. Travels SB and exits the south side of Montana in to Clark County, Idaho

Service Spur starting in Downtown Butte, and ending also in Butte where it intersects with I 15 and I 90.
