Allegheny County (PA) FCC Data
From The RadioReference Wiki
The following file contains the data for FRN 0003170636, which is the primary FRN for Allegheny County. An FRN number is assigned by the FCC to group an organizations call signs. In this case, Allegheny Emergency Services.
This data was obtained from the FCC in February 2011, from a downloaded file (FCC Advanced License Search) in comma seperated vaule "CSV" format. If you have ever downloaded one of these files, it is a mess to import into Microsoft Excel. The data has been properly parsed into Excel.
This file provides you with the ability to view call signs and frequencies by type, location, power, etc. It is very helpful to narrow down test frequencies to find unlisted ones. I will upoload more Allegheny County and State FRN files as time permits.
For example, if you filter the list for 400-499 Mhz and remove any duplicates, there are only 196 unique frequencies. You could easily load those into two banks on most scanners. In no time, you will have identified the ones you want to listen to. Unless of course you're looking for frequencies with low traffic. However, by just locking out the active frequencies, you can now easily scan the remaining channels at a high rate of speed.
You won't need to rely on frequencies posted by others. You will be the originator of your scan list. EASY GAME!
