News/Info

5/25 - Many talkgroups have gone ENCRYPTED, with the MAJORITY of the system expected to be the end of the year.
3/26 - MANY Cobb County talkgroups have been updated to FULL ENCRYPTION

Cobb County serves as the system core for its own sites, as well as sites operated by Douglas County, Forsyth County, Cherokee County, Bartow County, and Polk County. Cobb County, Douglas County, Forsyth County, Cherokee County, Bartow County, and Polk County talkgroups are always heard on their own respective Sites, and on other sites on an as-needed basis.

Site 2 (the legacy UASI Atlanta overlay) was decommissioned when Cobb upgraded their core in December 2017.

Polk County recently built their own simulcast site and is in the process of moving users to it.

Many talkgroups use Dynamic Dual Mode, which allows the talkgroup to automatically switch to TDMA (Phase II), when only TDMA-capable subscriber radios are active on the talkgroup, but revert to Phase I when older radios are active on the talkgroup. As a result, many talkgroups below shown as "D" Mode (Phase I) may intermittently become T (TDMA, Phase II) and only be monitored on a Phase II-capable scanner at any time.

Managed by ARC, the Atlanta UASI covers the City of Atlanta along with Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, and Gwinnett counties.

The original standalone UASI Atlanta standalone 800 MHz overlay network (previously known as Site 2) was officially decommissioned in December 2017. Today, wide-area interoperability is managed through an Inter Sub-System Interface (ISSI) and Smart Connect licenses. This allows designated UASI talkgroups to seamlessly roam and route traffic across separate regional P25 Phase II trunking networks, including the Cobb Regional Radio System, the Atlanta Public Safety P25 System, and the DeKalb County Public Safety P25 network.

Key Documented UASI Talkgroups Because these talkgroups leverage regional ISSI linking, they are often shared or mirrored with identical decimal IDs across participating regional databases:
