- Since 10/1/12 the Independence AMR Operation has proudly served the Southern Platte County Ambulance District as the contract provider for 911 services. The South Platte base provides ALS transport services to the communities of Parkville, Lake Waukomis, Houston Lake, Northmoor, Platte Woods, Farley, Ferrelview, Weatherby Lake and areas of unincorporated Southern Platte County. The South Platte base utilizes 12 employees and provides two dedicated ambulances 24 hours a day, seven days a week and handles an average of 1,100 calls per year.
