RFCC News - 1 LINK
St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties, Missouri: 2023: RFCC was retained by St. Francois and Ste. Genevieve Counties to assist with an upgrade from basic VHF analog systems to Simulcast P25 VHF radio systems. A detailed radio operations study was conducted in 2023 which resulted in a plan for new multi-site Simulcast networks for both counties. The two counties operate from a joint 9-1-1 center in Park Hills, Missouri.
This work included the development of 7 new towers sites within the two counties for the installation of the County's new VHF radio equipment, as well as radio microwave links to all tower sites.
The 7 new tower sites were constructed in 2024, and a contract awarded to Tait Radio North America for the new radio systems. Cutover to the new systems is anticipated in 2025.
