TGs 65101 to 65200 are reserved for simulselect patches (Internal patches)
A Harris radio simulselect patch, also known as dynamic regrouping, is a feature that temporarily combines multiple talkgroups and/or individual subscriber units into a single talkgroup. This enables coordinated communication across different users or groups without requiring manual radio switching and/or reprogramming. Simulselect patches can be created for specific incidents or operational needs to maximize system efficiency and streamline command and control. They can include both individual and group regrouping under one dynamic talkgroup ID. In this process, a dedicated new talkgroup is created for a patch.
Per the RR DB Admin handbook, Patch talkgroups for Harris systems shall be treated as hard patches and listed in a specific category dedicated to these talkgroups. Unless specific assignments are confirmed, Harris dynamic patch talkgroups shall be given an alias name of "Patch xxxxx" where xxxxx is the TGID. Read more here
