Vehicle Deployment
Region of Waterloo Paramedic Service is moving towards a divisional model similar to Peel. Typically, paramedics would start and end their shift at 'Fleet' (either 00 or 14, similar to reporting stations in Peel). From there, Cambridge CACC would direct them towards stations throughout the region for optimal coverage. Cambridge CACC would frequently shuffle around ambulances to fill in gaps as they respond out for calls.
Roaming Areas
Instead of a station, sometimes vehicles would be assigned an area to roam around in. For example, a first response vehicle would sometimes be asked to roam in Elmira.

Pager Tones/Tone Outs
EMS used to be toned out on 419.7625 local page or on 149.440 province-wide paging. The paging frequencies are no longer in use since EMS/MOH has moved to the PSRN P25 radio system that is replacing the Motorola Type II Bell Fleetnet radio system and the paging is done on that P25 radio system.
