System Information
The Peoria County ETSB P25 Radio System is an eleven-site, 800 MHz Harris P25ip Simulcast system. There are 700 MHz frequencies licensed for use, but not as simulcast frequencies.
Site work and towers are complete for the six new tower sites. The other five simulcast sites are located on existing vertical real estate. The new microwave system connecting the eleven sites and four PSAPs is complete. Scanner users are hearing testing, including three agencies that are using the system for the majority of their communications in a test mode. Field coverage testing was completed in both winter and summer conditions.
