The Licking Trails Fire Department (formerly the Licking Township Fire Department, Inc.) has ceased operations. It merged with the Licking Township Fire Company several years ago. For a short while near the end of its existence, it was Station 700. Its station was also located in Jacksontown, next door to the LTFC station. This was an artifact of the creation of the LTFC by township trustees dissatisfied with the LTFD. From the creation of the LTFC until the merger of the departments, the LTFD served only portions of Bowling Green Township.
The Millersport Fire Department is no longer dispatched on 33.860. Licking County still occasionally dispatches it on 460.625.
The Hartford Fire Department has removed its repeater's link to low band and is now dispatched exclusively on 151.1225.
All tones use standard 1 second/3 second timing except for 2+2 tones (1.25 seconds/1 second) and Monroe and West Licking (8 seconds). 2+2 tones are accompanied by a 1+1 tone and are only tripped for the first dispatch of a run. The 1+1 tone is, except for Heath EMS, one of the sets from the 2+2 tone. Granville no longer uses 2+2 tones. The siren tone for Buckeye Lake is only tripped for the first dispatch of a run.

Glenford's station (Station 220) is located in Perry County.
Codes
Fire/EMS departments in Licking County have moved almost entirely to plain language, although some remnants of BSSA codes and signals remain, such as 33 (en route), 37 (on the scene), 13 (non-emergency response), 27 (emergency response), and 16 (death). Also, the Newark Fire Department occasionally still uses "10-22," their former code for the police department, and "10-33," which indicates an emergency response (with lights and sirens), primarily when transporting to the hospital.

All departments are currently dispatched by the Licking County 911 center in Newark for runs in Licking County. Utica Fire and EMS are also dispatched by the Utica Police Department. The Heath Police Department dispatched the Heath Fire Department until the installation of new radio equipment in 2008. Both the Utica Police Department and the Heath Police Department have the capability to dispatch other county departments if necessary.
When 99 (emergency) traffic is declared on 155.415, other dispatches and operations move to 155.535
Heath PD also uses 858.2125 (the public works channel) as a secondary channel. This channel is not digital.

Notes
Heath public works (Street Department, Water Department, and Wastewater Department) were formerly on the (now defunct) Heath trunking system. They retain 858.2125, although this channel is rarely used except for snow removal.
