Kananaskis Country, aka Kananaskis Improvement District #5, is a region of Alberta west of the city of Calgary. It is bordered by the Municipal District of Bighorn and the Stoney Nakoda First Nation to the north; Banff National Park and East Kootenay region (British Columbia) to the west; the Municipal District of Crowsnest Pass to the south; and Rockyview County, the Municipal District of Foothills, and the Municipal District of Ranchlands to the east.
