Scanner frequency information for the LPGA

As a general rule: radios and cell phones are prohibited items during tournament days at the course. How this applies to scanners I'm not sure--but if you bring a scanner, you must be very discrete.

LPGA radios

A Radioreference thread about the radios that the LPGA staff used at 2006 McDonald’s LPGA Championship at Bulle Rock Golf Club in Havre de Grace, Maryland mentions that Motorola HT1000 UHF radios. Likewise, at the 2007 State Farm Classic in Springfield, IL, there were many Motorola UHF radios (some GP300s) with 1/4 antennas in use and the personnel used earpieces.

LPGA frequencies:
For now, the frequencies found at the 2007 and 2009 State Farm Classic have been left under the State Farm Classic section of this Illinois sports page until it can be confirmed which of these frequencies are used nationwide and which are used exclusively at the Springfield tournament. A report from the 2009 Solheim Cup is forthcoming and should shed some light on which frequencies are actually used by the LPGA.

Media frequencies:
Golf Channel and ESPN have been observed using frequencies in the 450 MHz and 455 MHz ranges at LPGA events. More info can be found here.
