UHF-T Band

Part of the UHF television broadcast spectrum from 470-512 MHz (TV channels 14-20) is referred to as the UHF-T Band when used for private land mobile radio in certain metropolitan areas. Each 6 MHz wide TV channel is dvided in two with the lower 3 MHz for base stations/repeater outputs paired with the upper 3 MHz for mobiles/repeater inputs.

Locations

UHF-T band private land mobile radio use is generally restricted to a 50 mile radius of the locations listed below.

    • 482-488 MHz (Ch 16)
  • Chicago, IL (41°52′28.1″, -87°38′22.2″)

  • Cleveland, OH (41°29′51.2″, -81°49′49.5″) (Not available until further order from the FCC.)

    • 482-488 MHz (Ch 16)
  • Detroit, MI (42°19′48.1″, -83°02′56.7″) (Not available until further order from the FCC.)
