General Information
Though not a significant hub for commercial flights, Trent Lott IAP is busy most every day with general aviation, military training, and helicopter flights supporting industries operating in the Gulf of Mexico. Weather permitting, hardly a day goes by that the US Coast Guard, US Navy, and US Air Force doesn't utilize the runway and surrounding airspace for flight training operations. The first leg of several visual flight training routes also pass through the air space to both the east and west.
