Wichita Falls Public Works NEXEDGE

  • The city of Wichita Falls is in the process of moving all non-public safety departments, except Transit, from the current four VHF simplex channels and one UHF repeater to six NEXEDGE NXDN conventional repeater frequencies at multiple sites. Here is the City Council Resolution to purchase the equipment. Four of the frequency pairs were used by the PD and FD before they moved to the EDACS system. Simplex operation on the repeater outputs has been heard but it is not known if the old PD simplex channels 460.225, 460.325 and 460.475 will also be used. Sanitation moved to 460.350 a few years ago. This repeater is now mixed-mode.
