System Information
Amboy Bus filed for bankruptcy and went out of business on June 30, 2014 (https://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/private/snapshot.asp?privcapid=3768751). Their Long Island operations, operating under Atlantic Express Transportation, were taken over by Educational Bus Transportation.
Previous information:
Amboy Bus is one of several subsidiaries of the parent company Atlantic Express Transportation Group. Others heard by name on the repeater system are K. Corr Bus, which handles Farmingdale Schools and Bethpage, and Raybern Bus Service handling Plainedge and vicinity.
There are no frequencies currently assigned to LCN's 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 or 8. LCN 5 is subject to adjacent channel interference from another station -12.5KHz away at 452.3500MHz. Apparently this interference effects the buses as dispatchers advised drivers when radio repair will be available in order to install filters in their radios.
