*Where a "new" tone is listed, it precedes the other listed tones. New tones for Utica are currently only used by the 911 Center. The Utica Police Department does not yet use them.
All tones use standard 1 second/3 second timing except for 2+2 tones (1.25 seconds/1 second) and Monroe Township (8 seconds). 2+2 tones are accompanied by a 1+1 tone. The 1+1 tone is, except for Heath EMS, one of the sets from the 2+2 tone. In some cases, only the B tone is tripped for retones.
Though it is not a pager tone, the Newark Fire Department alert for fire runs is 1000 Hz on 154.370.
Notes
- All departments are currently dispatched by the Licking County 911 center in Newark for runs in Licking County. Utica Fire and EMS are also dispatched by the Utica Police Department and the Knox County Sheriff's Office (which also dispatches Homer on Knox County runs). The Heath Police Department dispatched the Heath Fire Department until the installation of new radio equipment in 2008. Both the Utica Police Department and the Heath Police Department have the capability to dispatch other county departments if necessary.
- The Heath Fire Department generally uses 857.2125 (P25) only for communications with the Heath Police Department.
- 33.980 (Perry County Fire) and 33.860 are sometimes patched together for Glenford runs in Licking County.
- For dive/rescue team and haz-mat team runs, all departments with personnel or equipment for the relevant team are paged.

Glenford's station (Station 220) is located in Perry County.
Codes
Fire/EMS departments in Licking County have moved almost entirely to plain language, although some remnants of BSSA codes and signals remain, such as 33 (en route), 37 (on the scene), 13 (non-emergency response), 27 (emergency response), and 16 (death). Also, the Newark Fire Department occasionally still uses "10-22," their former code for the police department, and "10-33," which indicates an emergency response (with lights and sirens), primarily when transporting to the hospital.
